The Southern Region of Puerto Rico includes fifteen (15) local government municipalities:
- Adjuntas
- Arroyo
- Coamo
- Guánica
- Guayama
- Guayanilla
- Jayuya
- Juana Diaz
- Patillas
- Peñuelas
- Ponce
- Salinas
- Santa Isabel
- Villalba
- Yauco
Among these municipalities, 13 have committed resources and time towards regionalization, and economic development of the Southern Region of Puerto Rico.
